Organizers of the mass resignation gathered with church members on Saturday, talking through the official process with them and helping to fill out forms and envelopes, according to the New York Times.
Attorney Mark Naugle, a former Mormon who often assists people when they decide to leave the church, said that he took about 1,500 letters of resignation to be mailed to the church’s records office. Read more…
