Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley offered up a forceful attack on Hillary Clinton over gun policies during Saturday’s Democratic debate, but also found his own record under scrutiny.
O’Malley said the former secretary of state had been on “three sides” of the gun control issue.

“In 2000, you said that we needed federal robust regulations. In 2008 you were portraying yourself as Annie Oakley and saying that we don’t need those regulations on the federal level,” O’Malley said. “And now you come back around here…There’s a big difference between leading by polls and leading with principle.
